Spring forward to July, 2012
It's Spring, 2012 and C & G Global Connections Travel is anxiously looking forward to cruising to the great state of Alaska from July 8 to 15, 2012. This cruise which originates from Vancouver, BC promises to be an exciting adventure. Our group will include folks traveling from three regions (Europe, the Caribbean and North America). This will be our first annual group event and we are very excited about all the wonderful experiences we will be sharing with our group.
First stop - Vancouver, BC
Vancouver is truly one of the world's most beautiful cities and one of the healthiest places 'to visit or live. It is sophisticated, vibrant, and alive with entertainment. From Vancouver, it's only 39 miles to Victoria Island, where you'll notice similarities in British architecture and, if time permits, you could visit the famous Fairmont Empress Hotel for a spot of afternoon tea. A ferry ride from Vancouver will get you there in no time. Victoria Island is also the home of the beautiful Buschart Gardens. This is a garden lover's paradise. The beauty of these gardens is absolutely astounding.

Next stop - Ahoy Alaska!
Get excited!! This is where your odyssey really begins. There's truly no better time or way to experience this region's unique wonders than by sea in the summer. Alaska is an adventure of a life-time and we will be cruising on the Celebrity Century to Icy Strait Point, Hubbard Glacier, Juneau (Alaska's capital) and Ketchikan before returning to Vancouver. There will be so much to see, learn and do. Will you be able to see Russia from Alaska? You may be surprised at what you'll see. The culture is rich and, for seven days, you will be transported to what will seem like another world.
Temperatures in Alaska vary based on the time of year and the port or city you are visiting. However, in July, you can expect temperatures to range between 63 and 75 degrees Fahrenheit for most areas. It is also possible to view the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) from several points in Alaska.
